Sarita Dixon

Sarita Dixon proudly serves as Chief Financial Officer of The Petra Group, bringing a broad range of
expertise in executive administration, finance, and operational leadership. As a senior officer of the
firm, she plays a key role in strategic planning, financial oversight, and the execution of day-to-day
operations. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, Sarita oversees
all financial and administrative functions with precision and integrity.
While attending the University of New Orleans and Tulane University, Sarita began her professional
career at a medical clinic, where she quickly advanced to the position of Business Manager. During this
time, she developed a strong appreciation for operational efficiency, accuracy, and sound financial
management. She later accepted an executive administrative role at Tulane University’s School of
Public Health and Tropical Medicine, collaborating on initiatives with the U.S. Agency for
International Development. Her work included supporting projects tied to a famine early warning
system in Sub-Saharan Africa, where she cultivated a deep respect for teamwork and mission-driven
service.
Prior to joining The Petra Group, Sarita co-owned a Baton Rouge staffing company, serving as
Business Manager and CFO. She also held the role of Business Administrator/CFO for a medical
staffing service in New Orleans, her hometown, further strengthening her experience in financial
leadership, organizational management, and business growth.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Sarita is an avid reader and plant enthusiast. She applies
the same level of care and dedication to her personal interests as she does to her work. She also enjoys
traveling, both domestically and internationally, and often accompanies her husband, Troy, on
business trips.
